ARHUR FELDER BROWN, III aka Smart Kidd October 21, 1958 - Born in York General Hospital, Rock Hill, S.C. First Child of Arthur Felder Brown. Jr. and Lela White Brown. Both parents at this time are Schoolteachers at George Fish High School in Fort Mill, S.C. Mrs. Brown is a a native of Fort Mill's Paradise Community, former Valedictorian of George Fish High School's Class of 1951, and a 1955 graduate of Morgan State College. Mr Brown is a native of Charleston, S.C., 1951 Graduate of South Carolina State College and a veteran of the US Air Force who was wounded in the Korean Conflict in 1953. Mrs. Brown teaches Math and Sciences, Mr. Brown teaches Music. December 11, 1960 - The Browns' second child, Vincent Henry Brown is born in York General Hospital. June, 1961 - Brown Family of Four moves to Laurens, S.C. Mr. and Mrs. Brown are assigned to teach at all-Black Sanders High School in Laurens. June 1962 - Browns move again, this time to New York, N.Y. Family setttles in Washington Heights community in Manhattan. September 1963 - June 1970: Arthur III is enrolled in Audubon Elementary School in Manhattan. September 1970-June 1972: Arthur III is enrolled at Inwood Junior High School in Manhattan, and also enrolled at the Curtain Call Conservatory to study Music, Drama, and Art. June 1972: Arthur III is accepted into the prestigous Bronx (NY) High School of Science. He enters the 10th Grade at age 13. August 1972: Mr. and Mrs. Brown end their marriage. Mrs. Brown, Arthur III and Vincent relocate to Fort Mill, S.C.
